Pinho scored the game-winning goal at 9:21 of the final frame. Spenser Young knotted the score 1:10 earlier with his third goal of the season. Josh Wilkins and Vimal Sukumaran (power play) provided the third-period insurance goals for the Friars.

Friars junior Erik Foley opened the game’s scoring 3:59 into the second period. Tommy Panico answered for the River Hawks with 3:28 left in the middle frame, knotting the score at 1-1.
