MANKATO, Minn. – Brad McClure and C.J. Suess both scored twice as the Mavericks opened up a five-point advantage in the race for the MacNaughton Cup.
McClure opened the scoring in the contest just 4:21 in. Suess potted his first 5:27 later.
The Bulldogs pulled even with goals from Jacob Hetz and Liam MacDougall 8:03 apart in the second period.
The game remained tied until McClure picked up his second at 17:22. Suess added an insurance tally less than a minute later.
