WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point cruised to an easy 6-0 shutout over last place Sacred Heart. The win keeps Army West Point’s bid for a first round bye as they currently sit in fifth place, the last bye position.
They are one point ahead of RIT, who holds a tie-breaker, and two points in front of Robert Morris, but Army wins that tie-breaker. On the upside, they are one point behind Air Force for fourth. (Army is also two points behind idle Holy Cross, but Holy Cross holds the tie-breaker.) Sacred Heart could jump as high as ninth place.
Tucker DeYoung scored twice while John Zimmerman got three assists. Army scored three times in a 1:32 span in the third period to put the game away. Cole Bruns made 30 saves for the whitewash.
