Matthew Galajda earned his ninth shutout of the year on a 25-save effort to send the nation’s No. 2 team to the conference championship in Lake Placid. Alex Rauter potted his 11th of the season for the victory where the Big Red’s keen defense killed off a five-minute major en route to the win. It’s the first time since 2011-12 Quinnipiac did not advance past the ECAC Quarterfinals.
