Andrew Ammon’s hat trick — all scored in the final seven minutes — helped Princeton rally from a 2-1 deficit for a 5-2 victory over Massachusetts-Lowell on Friday.<\/p>\n
After Matt Arhontas pulled the teams even with just over eight minutes remaining, Ammon started his scoring spree, which represented the freshman’s first collegiate goals.<\/p>\n
He scored at even strength with seven minutes left. He scored on the power play with 4:17 left. And he scored short-handed, into an empty net, in the final minute.<\/p>\n
Sean Bonar made 16 saves for the Tigers (7-5).<\/p>\n
Doug Carr stopped 40 shots for the River Hawks (2-13-2), who twice took the lead on goals by David Vallorani and Matt Ferreira.<\/p>\n
