Each time a team took a lead, the other came back. Holy Cross and Canisius battled to a 5-5 tie on Friday evening.<\/p>\n
The Crusaders opened the scoring in the first with a Greg Kealey goal, but that was matched by Mike Ferry’s power play goal.<\/p>\n
The Ice Griffs took a 2-1 in the second period when Jarrett Zielinski scored, but Tom Pawlak tied the game for the Crusaders.<\/p>\n
The Crusaders took a two goal lead in the third period on goals by R.J. Irving and Matt Rinaldi, but the Ice Griffs came back with two of their own. Todd Bisson and Paul DiPasquale scored to knot the game at four.<\/p>\n
The Crusaders took the 5-4 lead when Jeff Dams scored on the power play, but with 45 seconds left in the third period Tom Wnuk scored to tie the game at five.<\/p>\n
Holy Cross (0-3-1, 0-2-1 MAAC) broke a three game losing streak and will travel to take on Bentley on Saturday, while Canisius (2-1-2, 1-0-2 MAAC) will travel to take on Connecticut.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
