Mercyhurst is now 3-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the MAAC and AIC is now 1-5-1 and 1-2-1 in the MAAC.<\/p>\n<p>AIC got on the board first at the 12:31 mark of the first period when Trent Ulmer beat Laker goaltender Peter Aubry.<\/p>\n<p>It remained that way until the 18:11 mark of the second period when Laker defenseman Mike Muldoon rifled a shot past Yellowjacket goalie Chance Thede to give the Lakers a short handed goal and the tie.<\/p>\n<p>Thede stopped 44 shots and Aubry stopped 20 shots.<\/p>\n<p>AIC travels to Holy Cross on Friday while Mercyhurst will host Canisius on Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercyhurst and American International skated to a 1-1 tie on Saturday at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
