Minnesota outshot Brown and led until the final four minutes of regulation but the fourth-ranked Bears came from behind to upset the second-ranked Gophers 3-2 in overtime.<\/p>\n
Kim Insalaco scored the game’s first goal when her shot was deflected by a Minnesota player past goalie Erica Killewald nine minutes, 48 seconds into the opening period.<\/p>\n
Laura Slominski got that goal back for Minnesota less than four minutes later and Tracy Engstrom scored on a breakaway at 2:50 of the second period to give the Gophers a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n
The scored remained that way until Melissa Rennison tipped in a pass from Kathleen Kauth with 3:23 to play in the third period.<\/p>\n
Kauth got the winner when Cara Gardner threaded a pass to her through the neutral zone and she forced the puck through Killewald with 1:12 left to play in the overtime.<\/p>\n
