PRINCETON, N.J.<\/b> — Brielle Bellerive’s first goal of the season was the deciding factor as No. 5 Clarkson edged No. 8 Princeton 2-1 on Friday night at Hobey Baker Rink.<\/p>\n
Amanda Titus opened the scoring at 7:44 of the second period, as Rhyen McGill corralled a shot by Emma Keenan and fed Titus in the slot for a backhander to give Clarkson a 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n
Princeton answered back on the power play at 14:03, as Kelsey Koelzer netted her 14th goal of the year set up by Molly Strabley and goalie Kimberly Newell, who earned her first assist of the year.<\/p>\n
Bellerive’s goal at 6:43 of the third proved to be the final goal needed, as the Golden Knights’ defense and Shea Tiley held off the Tigers’ offense for the remainder of the game.<\/p>\n
