The Lakers improved their overall record to 20-7-1 and their Great Lakes Women&#8217;s Hockey Association mark to 14-2-1. Wayne State dropped to 3-21-2.<\/p>\n<p>Mercyhurst got a first-period power-play goal from junior defender Randi Pilger, but could not solve Wayne State goalie Kelly Zamora again until  the final period. <\/p>\n<p>Pilger scored her second of the game and sixth of the season at 3:23 and sophomore forward Lindsay Barch concluded the scoring  with her 11th and 12th of the season at 10:58 and 13:33, respectively. <\/p>\n<p>The Lakers are now 12-0-0 all-time against the Warriors. <\/p>\n<p>Freshman goalie Desi Clark got the win between the pipes for Mercyhurst while Zamora, a converted forward, took the loss for WSU  despite stopping 44 of 48 shots. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ninth-ranked Mercyhurst broke open a close game with three third-period goals to subdue Wayne State 4-0 Saturday and sweep the weekend series.
