Merrimack goaltender Joe Exter remains in serious condition with multiple skull fractures at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center today following a collision in last Friday’s opening game of the Hockey East quarterfinal series at Boston College. (Original story<\/a>)<\/p>\n According to hospital spokespersons, Exter’s condition is unchanged in the last 24 hours, and unless there is a major change in condition, no further updates will be provided until Tuesday morning. Exter has remained in serious condition since having been upgraded from critical condition shortly before 10 p.m. this past Sunday evening. He has been unconscious since the incident.<\/p>\n Merrimack head coach Chris Serino was not available to talk with media on Monday, but Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information Tom O’Brien noted that “support and prayers continues to pour in from all over the country.”<\/p>\n
