Nate Leaman, who last week indicated he would remain at Union despite being regarded as a possible candidate for the vacant Harvard head coaching position, confirmed his position Wednesday in a release issued by the school.<\/p>\n
“I was flattered to be mentioned among several fine candidates for the open head coaching position at Harvard,” said Leaman. “However, as I have stated previously, I am extremely happy with my situation at Union and I really love the momentum we have built.<\/p>\n
“I look forward to a great upcoming season and a bright future at Union.”<\/p>\n
Leaman, a former member of Mark Mazzoleni’s staff at Harvard, is heading into his second year as head coach at Union. The Dutchmen started the 2003-04 season strong before finishing 14-17-5, including an 8-11-3 ECAC record.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
