Last May, after the ECAC athletic directors announced the league was officially severing ties with the main ECAC office and forming, in essence, an independent hockey league, Steve Hagwell was named the acting commissioner.<\/p>\n

In an article called “Seize the Momentum<\/a>,” we applauded the move, but implored the ECAC not to sit still, and take the next steps.<\/p>\n

Now, with Hagwell recently given a new three-year contract and the permanent commissioner title, we take a look back at our 10 suggestions from last May, and see how far the ECAC has come. (New comments indented and italicized.)<\/p>\n
