{"id":36947,"date":"2011-04-12T20:52:26","date_gmt":"2011-04-13T01:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=36947"},"modified":"2011-04-12T20:52:26","modified_gmt":"2011-04-13T01:52:26","slug":"cornell-and-boston-university-to-play-madison-square-garden-next-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwproxy.uscho.com\/2011\/04\/12\/cornell-and-boston-university-to-play-madison-square-garden-next-november\/","title":{"rendered":"Cornell and Boston University to play Madison Square Garden next November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cornell and Boston University will continue their 86-year-old rivalry on Nov. 26, 2011 as the schools will play Madison Square Garden in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Red Hot Hockey&#8221; game has been sold out the past two times the schools have played, including the inaugural game on Nov. 24, 2007 and the second installment on Nov. 28, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Obviously, we&#8217;re very excited about again playing Boston University at Madison Square Garden. This event has turned out to be one of the top events in all of college hockey during the years we&#8217;ve played the game,&#8221; said Cornell head coach Mike Schaefer in a statement. &#8220;We&#8217;re excited to again play in the country&#8217;s biggest media market in a historic venue against one of the traditional powers, and we&#8217;re looking forward to getting a win in front of our fans and continuing this great rivalry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It goes without saying that we&#8217;re excited to once again play our historic rival in such a storied building.
