{"id":37554,"date":"2011-07-11T20:48:37","date_gmt":"2011-07-12T01:48:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=37554"},"modified":"2011-07-11T20:48:37","modified_gmt":"2011-07-12T01:48:37","slug":"ohio-state-adds-exter-to-coaching-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwproxy.uscho.com\/2011\/07\/11\/ohio-state-adds-exter-to-coaching-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"Ohio State adds Exter to coaching staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joe Exter, an assistant coach with the U.S. National Team Development Program the last four years, has been named an assistant coach at Ohio State. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The experience Joe brings from working in college, in the USHL and with USA Hockey will be invaluable to our program,&#8221; said OSU head coach Mark Osiecki in a press release. &#8220;He has been around the best hockey players from the United States the last four years, including some of the best goalies during that time period. He will add a great deal to both our staff and the Ohio State hockey program overall.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Exter, a 2003 Merrimack graduate, was on staff with Osiecki at the World Junior Championship when the U.S. won gold in 2010 and with the bronze-medal squad in 2011. Exter will serve as an assistant coach with the 2012 team this winter.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining USA Hockey, Exter spent the 2006-07 season with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL.
