St. Thomas has named Jeff “Duke” Boeser full-time head coach, removing the interim tag he held this past season after replacing the retired Terry Skrypek in April 2010.<\/p>\n
Last year, Boeser, who played at St. Thomas from 1971-1975, led the Tommies to a runner-up conference finish in the MIAC and a 14-10-2 overall record.<\/p>\n
“I wouldn’t be where I’m at without Terry Skrypek,” said Boeser in a statement. “He tutored me and helped me get ready to be a head coach. The biggest adjustment for me as the interim head coach came on the administrative side and adjusting to various new responsibilities there, but the coaching role itself was something I enjoyed and was comfortable with.<\/p>\n
“All of my assistant coaches are coming back. It’s nice to be surrounded by people who have such pride in St. Thomas and its hockey program.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
