As a non-qualifier last season, Karvinen was not allowed to play on an outside sports team under NCAA bylaw 14.3.2.3.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have accepted the NCAA&#8217;s decision and take responsibility for it,&#8221; Idalski told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandforksherald.com\/event\/article\/id\/227249\/group\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Grand Forks Herald<\/i><\/a>. &#8220;It was an inadvertent and isolated incident and I will accept the penalty and we will move on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There is expected to be no further punishment from the case.<\/p>\n<p>Without Idalski behind the bench last Saturday, North Dakota beat St. Cloud State 9-0. UND is ranked fifth in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/rankings\/d-i-womens-poll\/2011-2012\/poll,0123\/january-23,-2012\/\">USCHO.com Division I Women&#8217;s Poll<\/a> and is in third place in the WCHA.<\/p>\n<p>Karvinen, who had three goals and 11 points in 20 games for men&#8217;s team R&#248;dovre SIK in Denmark last season, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/eliteprospects.com\/player.php?player=45030\" target=\"_blank\">eliteprospects.com<\/a>, does not have her eligibility affected by the suspension.
