{"id":45038,"date":"2012-08-20T19:28:31","date_gmt":"2012-08-21T00:28:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=45038"},"modified":"2012-08-20T19:28:31","modified_gmt":"2012-08-21T00:28:31","slug":"patrick-wallack-named-new-assistants-at-vermont","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwproxy.uscho.com\/2012\/08\/20\/patrick-wallack-named-new-assistants-at-vermont\/","title":{"rendered":"Patrick, Wallack named new assistants at Vermont"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vermont has announced the hiring of Kevin Patrick and Kyle Wallack as assistant coaches for the upcoming 2012-13 season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is an honor for me to introduce our new University of Vermont men&#8217;s hockey staff,&#8221; said Vermont head coach Kevin Sneddon in a news release. &#8220;We are extremely fortunate to add two of the nation&#8217;s finest assistant hockey coaches to our family. They have a combined 24 years of experience at the highest level of college hockey, as well as head coaching experience in one of the top development leagues in the world, the United States Hockey League.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know both Kevin and Kyle will work diligently to identify and recruit student-athletes that fit our program&#8217;s core values and those student-athletes who want to be proud members of the University of Vermont men&#8217;s hockey program. Today, we add two gentlemen with impeccable character, work ethic, recruiting success, knowledge of all aspects of the game and a true passion for college hockey. They will be instrumental components to the success of UVM hockey for many years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Patrick spent the last two years as the head coach of the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL and previously spent five seasons as an assistant coach for Wisconsin. Prior to his time at Wisconsin, Patrick was an assistant coach at Bowling Green for three years and also spent four seasons as an assistant for Union from 1998-2002 while Sneddon was the head coach for the Dutchmen.<\/p>\n<p>Wallack was the head coach of the Indiana Ice in the USHL last season, leading the team to a 35-16-9 record in the regular season.
