She was also an assistant at Rensselaer during the 2008-09 season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are really excited to add Shivaun to our coaching staff,&#8221; said RIT head coach Scott McDonald. &#8220;She has great experience coaching and recruiting at the Division I level and gives us a great chance to improve our team right away.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Siegl was an assistant coach on McDonald&#8217;s staff that won a gold medal at the Empire State Games. <\/p>\n<p>Siegl, a goaltender, played college hockey at Mercyhurst from 2002-05 then transferred to Vermont and played two seasons for the Catamounts. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shivaun Siegl has been named an assistant coach for the Rochester Institute of Technology women&#8217;s team, returning to a post she held during the 2007-08 season.
