More than two-thirds of the players selected for the camp that will help select the 2014 U.S. men’s Olympic team come from college hockey roots.<\/p>\n
Of 48 players named to the U.S. Men’s National Team Orientation Camp in August, 33 played in college.<\/p>\n
Minnesota had seven former players chosen, with Wisconsin right behind at six. There are three ex-Michigan players; two players each from Boston College, Denver, Michigan State and North Dakota; and one each from Boston University, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota State, New Hampshire, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Western Michigan.<\/p>\n
Former Bowling Green player Dan Bylsma is the coach, while Tony Granato (Wisconsin), Peter Laviolette (Westfield State) and Todd Richards (Minnesota) are assistants.<\/p>\n
Here are the former college players selected for the camp that will take place in Arlington, Va., on Aug. 26 and 27:<\/p>\n
