{"id":65573,"date":"2015-09-14T20:07:09","date_gmt":"2015-09-15T01:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=65573"},"modified":"2015-09-14T20:07:22","modified_gmt":"2015-09-15T01:07:22","slug":"second-recipient-of-nchcs-mark-rudolph-officiating-achievment-award-is-paul-carnathan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wwwproxy.uscho.com\/2015\/09\/14\/second-recipient-of-nchcs-mark-rudolph-officiating-achievment-award-is-paul-carnathan\/","title":{"rendered":"Second recipient of NCHC&#8217;s Mark Rudolph Officiating Achievment Award is Carnathan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Carnathan has been named the second recipient of the NCHC&#8217;s annual Mark Rudolph Officiating Achievement Award for the 2014-15 season.<\/p>\n<p>Carnathan recently completed his second season as an NCHC linesman and was presented with the award on Sept. 12 at a dinner attended by all NCHC referees, Colorado-based linesmen and the conference staff in Colorado Springs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;Carny,&#8217; who we refer to as &#8216;The 93 Car&#8217; [NCHC No. 93], is a natural leader both on the ice and off,&#8221; NCHC director of officiating Don Adam said in a news release. &#8220;He is his own worst critic and because he knows the game so well, he&#8217;s already evaluated his own performance before I can get to the locker room after a game. His success is based upon his passion for officiating and his drive to be the best every time he steps on the ice. Carny&#8217;s skill, passion and knowledge are contagious and he makes officials around him better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NCHC linesman John Philo was the inaugural recipient of the award in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Rudolph Award is named in honor of Mark Rudolph, a long-time official and distinguished administrator who established USA Hockey&#8217;s National Officiating Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paul Carnathan has been named the second recipient of the NCHC&#8217;s annual Mark Rudolph Officiating Achievement Award for the 2014-15 season.
