Hockey East Picks – October 29-30

Jim pulled back to even with Dave last weekend.

Dave last week: 4-3-2 Dave’s record-to-date: 9-4-7 Here are this week’s picks:

Friday, October 29

Boston University at Massachusetts-Lowell

Dave’s pick: The Terriers remain undefeated with another nailbiter. Jim’s pick: BU continues its dominance over Lowell. Merrimack at Boston College

Dave’s pick: You don’t expect me to pick a two-game BC losing streak, do you? Jim’s pick: I’m with Dave here. BC is back to winning ways. Providence at Massachusetts

Dave’s pick: The Friars are no easy pickings, but can’t overcome Minuteman home ice. Jim’s pick: I like the way Providence has played early in the season. I’m picking Friars. New Hampshire at Cornell

Dave’s pick: The Wildcats move to a game over .500. Jim’s pick: Cornell may be a little rusty having not yet played, but Lynah is too tough for the Wildcats. Holy Cross at Northeastern

Dave’s pick: No more mediocre results against Atlantic Hockey. Jim’s pick: NU rolls at home. Boston College at Merrimack

Dave’s pick: The Warriors were almost bullet-proof at home last year, but I don’t see them stopping the Eagles. Dave’s pick: The Terriers complete the sweep. Dave’s pick: I picked North Dakota to sweep Maine last weekend. It’s makeup time. Dave’s pick: The Huskies complete a sweep of Atlantic Hockey teams. Jim’s pick: Think this will be the tougher of Northeastern’s two non-league games, but they’ll still come out on top. Tuesday, November 2

Massachusetts-Lowell at Boston College

Dave’s pick: Three losses over an elogated weekend for the River Hawks. Jim’s pick: BC not who Lowell wanted to see needing a victory.
