Jim last week: 4-6-1

Dave’s record-to-date: 13-8-2

Jim’s record-to-date: 9-12-2

Dave’s pick: This match-up between the preseason number one vs. the number two ranks as the best of the weekend. If this were March or April, I’d lean toward a BC club that would be peaking for a run at another national championship. But this is October so home ice will rule (with a big assist by Doug Carr).

UML 3, BC 2

Jim’s pick: This is my first of what may be a few coin-flip games for me this week. I think the atmosphere at Lowell will be a good one, but the BC team the River Hawks face is equally as good. I’m going Eagles here.

BC 3, UML 1

Dave’s pick: It’s pretty difficult to pick the Black Bears on the road on the heels of them getting swept at home.

PC 3, Maine 1

Jim’s pick: Agree with Dave. Maine has shown me nothing thus far.

PC 4, Maine 2

Dave’s pick: Northeastern has gotten off to a great start, but I’m a UNH believer.

UNH 4, NU 2

Jim’s pick: Love the way the Wildcats are playing right now.

UNH 4, NU 2

Dave’s pick: The Minutemen put a major scare into BC and they may do the same thing to the Terriers, but I see the same result.

BU 3, UMass 2

Jim’s pick: I don’t think this game will be as close as Dave does.

BU 5, UMass 2

Dave’s pick: Merrimack’s home opener ends in celebration as Sam Marotta records his second career shutout.

MC 2, UVM 0

Jim’s pick: Not picking a shutout here but think this has the potential to be a close game. Mark my words: Vermont leaves Merrimack with points.

MC 2, UVM 1

Dave’s pick: The Terriers finish off the tough end of the sweep with Sean Maguire bouncing back from a tough introduction to collegiate hockey and collecting his first win.

BU 4, UMass 3

Jim’s pick: This is where I’ll have the confidence to pick UMass as my upset of the week.

UMass 4, BU 3

Dave’s pick: I suppose this is a split on paper, but I’m still reeling from Maine’s struggles.

PC 3, Maine 1

Jim’s pick: I’m with Pops here. Reads split, I’m picking sweep.

PC 4, Maine 2

Dave’s pick: I’ve got a tough time picking against UNH, but home cooking will be good for the Huskies.

NU 3, UNH 2

Jim’s pick: The Wildcats will continue to surprise, even away from home.

UNH 4, NU 3

Dave’s pick: The Warriors go to a perfect 2-0 at home.

MC 3, UVM 1

Jim’s pick: I feel like this game will be a tie, but will pick the UVM upset.

UVM 2, MC 1

Dave’s pick: BC rebounds with an impressive win back at home.

BC 4, UML 2

Jim’s pick: BC finishes off another weekend sweep, this time at the hands of an NCAA team a year ago.
